crw_12_creative-writing-socialStudents agree that it makes a difference to be taught by people who care about their subject and enjoy what they do.  You may hear us moan about a lot of things – social media culture, shop signs that misuse apostrophes, the pointlessness of international football friendlies – but the Creative Writing lecturers at the University of Gloucestershire all love writing and all love teaching.  We expect our students to be equally enthusiastic.

Professor Nigel McLoughlin teaches poetry, creative process, the psychology of writing, and translation and adaptation.  Dr Martin Randall teaches the novel, transgressive literature, and short fiction; Senja Andrejevic-Bullock and Miranda Walker teach dramatic writing; Beatrice Hitchman teaches autobiography, prose fiction, and industry skills; Dr DD Johnston teaches theory, prose fundamentals, and the short story;  Dr Angela France teaches poetry and teaching writing; Dr Lania Knight teaches prose fiction and creative industries; Dr Duncan Dicks teaches prose fiction; and Dr Kayleigh Moore teaches prose fiction and creativity.
